** BRACKEN OPENING SHOOT - POSTPONED **
Due to the poor weather forecast for Sunday 28th March, the Opening Shoot has been postponed to Sunday 11th April.
Clubmark Accreditation!
The club is very pleased to accounce that it has received formal Clubmark accreditation.
Clubmark is a national accreditation scheme run by Sport England (the public body responsible for building the foundations of a community sport system within England).
It provides recognition for high quality junior clubs that have shown a committment to developing junior sport, promoting sports equity and equal opportunities and ensuring accessibility to the local community. In addition it demonstrates that the club has achieved minimum operating standards for safety, fairness, duty of care, coaching and management.
In essence, Clubmark demonstrates that the club is well run, ACTIVE and ACCESSIBLE, getting the best out of young people and giving everyone a sporting chance.
Accreditation is great news for the club, it opens up more opportunities for the club to raise its profile within the area, provides access to more funding sources, allows us to develop our coaching programme, improves our links with local schools, parents and the community and will help us to continually improve the club for the future.
Shoot Calendar for 2010 now available
The shoot calendar for 2010 has now been published under the "events" link on the left, which includes links to Entry Forms where available. Please note that some dates for "away" shoots are to be confirmed (TBC).
Club fees now due by 4th October 2009
This years Club Fees are now due. Fees remain unchanged from last year as follows:
- Family (at least 1 Adult and 1 Junior) = £40
- Senior = £27
- Junior = £15
- Student/Associate = £15 (covers members of other clubs who are near us but shoot limited times during the year)
Cheque's payable to 'Bracken Company of Archers', with your name on the back (so that we know who has paid). You can post cheque's to the treasurer (address in the forum), or hand them to Andy, Dan or Ralph at the field. Prompt payment, without being chased, would be very much appreciated.
New Adult 252 Ribbon Award Scheme
In order to provide even more incentive to improve an archer's performance, Bracken Company of Archers is pleased to announce the introduction of an adult ribbon award scheme. For more details, please follow the link on the left.
AGM and Club Championship
Members are invited to attend the Club's Annual General Meeting and Club Championship on Sunday 20th September. Working party at 8.30am, assembly at 9.30, shooting commences at 10.00. The AGM will be held at 2.00pm in Cranborne Village Hall.

GNAS fees now due by 9th August 2009
This years GNAS Fees are now due from seniors (the club pays for juniors). In order that the club gets a discount from GNAS, we would like to collect all payments by 9th August. Amount due = £43, cheque's payable to 'Bracken Company of Archers', with your name on the back (so that we know who has paid). You can post the cheque's to the treasurer (address in the forum), or hand them to Andy, Dan or Ralph at the field. Prompt payment, without being chased, would be very much appreciated.
